Do you remember those T-Shirts that read “I ran into Tammy Fay at the mall”?  That really had nothing to do with this post, but for whatever reason I thought about it.

It is always interesting to see characters from movies when you out and about–at the mall, in the park, on the street.  Well, yesterday, I was in the shopping district of Trier, Germany–when walking through the crowd was Darth Vader along with six storm troopers. I really wish I’d had my camera out.

Too me it was refreshing to see, this display of entertainment as I would anywhere in the world.  To me it shows the power of fictional heroes…and for that matter, comic books. (And by the way, Star Wars was in theaters before they were in comic books, but the point still makes sense).
