Being that, I feel as if I only read comic books every two years, and have only been reading for three, it seems as if I am very new to comic books and the history.
That said, I was happy to have received a couple of books from the 1985 “Who’s Who” series that DC put together.
I wish, they would do an updated book–after all of the Crisis shake ups that are taking place. I’m typically not in favor of a “straight to graphic novel” book–I never want to get rid of the single issues. However, this type of “who’s who” needs to be bound–as long as it is not sky high in price.
In this G edition of the “Who’s Who” I discovered that Jon Stewart did not, as I previously thought, develop first as a character on the animated “Justice League.” I truly thought that’s where he got his start. I’m glad to find out that it is deaper than that because I really like him as the Green Lantern.
It is books like these, that keep guys like me in the loop of all things DC. It is a difficult task–but it would be great to see it again.

A friend of mine from reminded me that people may be interested in means pull list. Of course, I have a pull list online at Midtown Comics, but my list includes titles from DC and Marvel.
I try to maintain some sense of order in my collection—subscribing to the titles that fit within the Superman, Batman and Teen Titans priority themes. Which is why I am considering dropping Green Lantern. Wonder Woman remain a part of the big three—she too important to over look. And the three Marvel ones? Yeah, I just like them.
Some of these titles, like the “Joker Asylum” series and “Teen Titans: Year One” will be dropping of in the coming months as those series will be ending. But, there are enough solid continuous series to keep me busy when I finally return home.

I’ve never read much of the Flash. I really never understood his apeal.
So, when I recently received a box that included several Flash comic books, I was excited to dive a little more into his story.
One of the arcs that was given to me was a story of Barry Allen’s return and Wally West taking a back seat. It is an interesting story to read. So each night, I have been able to work my way through the story. I’ve only been reading this story for several days now, and I am intrigued by the humanity that is brought out in the story. These issues of jealousy and insecurity are a great asset to the storyline. I was impressed that this book went into that deep of subjects. I had imagined, from the TV show example, that the Flash was always a jokester–and I didn’t think that the story would be much but I have realy enjoyed this great comic book arc.
