Now, this is not something I expected from Marvel Comics, but I’m impressed.

My wife told me this afternoon that she saw an advertisement on Guiding Light for Marvel Comic Books.  To find out more, the commercial said, go to Marvel.com. So, I did.  On November 1st, GL is going to do a crossover story with Marvel comics.  One of the lead characters is going to become a Superhero.  On Marvel’s web page, they have all of the press information.  I also recommend looking at Guiding Light’s Web page, but be careful about the spoilers. 

I think that integrating with traditional soaps is a great innovative way for comics to impact our culture. I’m planning to buy the books as a way to encourage my wife to enjoy comics…and me to enjoy Guiding Light.
