Green Lantern #18 was an entertaining development story, bringing new comic book readers like me up to date.  I enjoyed reading about Star Saphire.  I agree with The Continuity Blog’s desire that “Carol doesn’t become a permanent member of Hal’s supporting cast.”  There are so many soap opera elements in comic book romances, they don’t seem to ever let go.

I didn’t really like the double feature concept.  I will read it later, but I didn’t want to get confused with the story.  I know that this is a traditional way of promoting a new comic, I just don’t like it.  I don’t even read the comics that they sometimes stick in Wizard magazine.
