In Wizard Magazine 182 (Dec. 2006), on page 18 (in the lower right hand corner) is a little article titled “Jim Lee’s ‘Wonder’ Woman.  This article talked about how Jodi Picoult started in comics.

What caught my attention was her description of Lee from living across the hall from him at Princeton.  She said that he was “a guy who used to spend hours at his drafting table.” So, what’s the big deal with that?  Jim Lee is a BIG name, who got there by spending hours at his drafting table.  Yes, he is talented, but he spent hours developing his craft.  This is an encouragement to me.

To be really good at something, one must spend hours developing his/her craft.
