Last night I was reading an article in Wizard magazine #175 (May 2006) called “The Kubert Bros. A Day in the Life.”  I really enjoyed this piece.

The article chronologically traced the Kuberts day as they teach at “The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art” and their interaction with the DC publishers.

I enjoyed seeing some of the interaction with students and how they teach the students how the art is done in the Big Leagues.  I don’t draw—yet—but I was able to take away some tips for when I do.

I was very interested in the article.  I enjoyed reading how these articles spend their day—sometimes the reality of how the artist and writers spend their day makes the whole process real.  I also get ideas of how to spend my day and how to pursue my dreams.  These are doing what they have dreamed of doing—what can be better.  I also am doing what I have dreamed of doing and it is good to see another model of how to take advantage of this opportunity and not let it slip away.
