I opened my Teen Titans #41 to find a cardboard advertisement sticking out of the page. Yes, it was the ad for “Hero Scape”. I was completely aggravated.
There is nothing worse than having “blow cards” in magazines. When they are literally “blown in”–which means that a magazine has a stack of advertising cards and blows them into the magazine–that is bad enough. Having the card stapled into the book is the worst. Why can’t they buy a page of advertising like everybody else? Final Fantasy for Game Boy Advance has had several two page ads in most of the books I read, but they don’t bother me. Why? Because I understand that ads help DC Comics make money–and if I don’t want to read the ad, I can go to the next page. Not so with a “blow card”, they just keep popping up.
The hardest problem in having these cards in the books is knowing that I can’t just rip it out. That would decrease the value of the book terribly. So, DC, please stop the “blow cards”, make them buy advertisements like every one else.

not only can you not rip them out but if you do then you also see them causeing bends in the comic due to the bulk of the insert
