Slowly, I am putting my comic book world back together.  I have set up a subscription with Midtown Comics to keep up with my pull list.  I should be back in the swing of things soon.

I was very impressed with the service that I’ve received from Midtown.  I expected to have trouble with this.  I expected that one store and probably short staffed.  I also expected that they wouldn’t care much about their online business.  And I expected some problems because New York is big, and the store could be help someone else.  These were my expectations.  I was treated very nicely.  I had some questions setting up my account–not big ones, but being in Germany–there were some questions.  I was treated very nicely, and the agent on the phone was very helpful.  I recommend that, if you are away from a local store (there IS something special about a local comic book shop) that you order from Midtown.  As I say that, however, I still haven’t received a book–so we’ll see, but this wait is mainly due to the US Post Office.

Anyway, I unpacked my boxes and put them upstairs in my closet.  I have set out five boxes that contain my current pull list–and I stacked the other 6 boxes in a less used/hard to get to closet.  I’m happy with the set up, but I’m beginning to see why a large collection could be a burden.
