I’m surprised that as I spend more time with comic books, I am now looking for books that apparently everyone else is looking for as well.  To my surprise, the value of these books has not gone up.

Recently, I began to backwards in my collection, collecting the issues with lower numbers than what I already have.  I am primarily focusing on Superman and Cat Woman with this.

With Superman, I want to get get all of the books from number 200 to the present.   I ran into a problem when I got to the Jim Lee run.  I had every issue except 210, 211, and 212.  I was able to complete this this collection weekend.

In Cat Woman, I want to have every issue from the Pfeifer run. The trouble here was with 50, 51 and 52.  I found 52 at a very small shop near where I live and found 50 this past weekend.  51 still eludes me.

I was lucky to find what I could in South Carolina.  I had already tried the local stores and the Internet to no avail.  This is the game in comic book collecting: going after those issue that are yet in our collection.
