As the storyline of “New Ways to Die” continues in Amazing Spider-man 569, the very last page introduces “Anti-Venom”.

The fact that Marvel has named a character “Anti-Venom” strikes me as funny, simply because one of the unclassified safety briefs upon entering Iraq included the words “there is no Anti-Venom”–next time I go through that I can say…”Yes, Virginia,  there is an Anti-Venom.”

I am impressed with Penciler John Romita, Jr. for his inclusion of  a “Colbert ‘08″ bumper sticker on the back of a laptop.  These little “Easter Eggs” are fun to find–especially months after the Colbert run for the White House.
